These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the NIPUN NEWS mobile application, website at https://nipunnews.com, and related services (the “Service”) operated by NIPUN INDIA SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING PVT. LTD. (“Company”, “we”, “us”).
By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
NIPUN NEWS is a digital news aggregation and localisation platform that delivers short news summaries in multiple Indian languages. Content is sourced from publicly available RSS feeds and third-party publishers. Summaries and translations may be generated using artificial intelligence (AI), including Google Gemini.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (16 in the EU/EEA where required).
- If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
- Use of the Service in India is subject to applicable Indian laws.
3. AI-Generated Content
You acknowledge and agree that:
- News summaries and translations may be automatically generated by AI and may contain inaccuracies.
- AI content is provided for general information only and is not professional, legal, medical, or investment advice.
- Original source links and publisher attribution are provided where available; you should verify critical information with original sources.
- We are an intermediary/aggregator and do not claim authorship of third-party publisher content.
4. User Accounts
- Guest use is available without login; optional OTP login syncs preferences across devices.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and notify us of unauthorised use.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate any applicable law.
- Scrape, crawl, or reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law.
- Upload malware, spam, or content that is defamatory, hateful, or infringing.
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Service.
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as human-written official reporting by NIPUN NEWS.
5.1 Comments and citizen reports
- Comments are public. Do not post abuse, hate, personal information about others, spam, or false claims. Editors may hide or remove any comment.
- Citizen reports (“మీరే రిపోర్టర్”) must be true to the best of your knowledge, and you must own or have permission to share any photo or video you send.
- By sending a report you allow NIPUN NEWS to edit, verify and publish its text and media. Nothing is published until an editor approves it, and your contact details are never published.
6. Intellectual Property
- The NIPUN NEWS name, logo, app design, and proprietary software are owned by the Company or its licensors.
- Third-party news content, trademarks, and media remain the property of their respective owners.
- You may share article links through in-app sharing features for personal, non-commercial use.
7. Push Notifications
Breaking news alerts are optional. By enabling notifications, you consent to receive push messages via Firebase Cloud Messaging. You may disable alerts in app Settings or device settings at any time. Message frequency varies with news events.
8. Premium / Payments
If premium features are offered, additional payment terms will be disclosed at purchase. Subscriptions, where applicable, are governed by Google Play billing policies and any supplemental terms shown in-app.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CONTENT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR TIMELY.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED INR 1,000 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, and employees from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for operational reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and requesting account deletion via info@nipunindia.com.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
- Subject to mandatory consumer protections, courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
- EU/EEA consumers may also have rights under local mandatory consumer protection laws.
14. Changes
We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page. Material changes may be notified in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
